Human beings are all built and learn differently. The more exposure young people have to different types of learning and culture the more rounded they are as they grow into adulthood. Whenever possible, I hope to incorporate all of the different styles of teaching into my daily lessons. I want to cater to the multiple intelligences in my classroom, but I also want to expose my students to different ways to intake information. I believe it is just as important to challenge their young minds in order to help them learn and grow as it is to nurture who they are as individuals. I have been challenged and nurtured through the MAT program at Willamette University. I have experienced triumphs and failures, but through it all I have grown into a wiser and more well-rounded teacher. In the future, I hope to continue this pattern of growth. Ultimately, it is my goal to provide students with a superlative education, while fostering inspiration, confidence, and a love of learning into the next generation of world citizens.
